ALAY-LAKAD - 2009

The year was 2009, when I started in STI College Cebu.  That was also the year when I had the experience in encouraging the students and the staff to participate in the Alay-Lakad.

The students showed their zest eagerly as they assembled early and waited at Jose Rizal Library in Osmena Blvd., Cebu City for the walk for a cause to start at 6:00 in the morning.  Our identifying marks were the school t-shirt, banner and the balloons.



The annual activity sponsored by the government and fully supported by the majority of the schools, colleges, universities and NGOs in Cebu. The beneficiaries of the Alay-Lakad are the out - of -school youth. There thousands of supporters of the event and it culminated at the Cebu City Sports Complex with a cheer competition and the announcement of the biggest delegation.
